Tonight I found myself laying in bed struggling with SI again. Actually, it probably went a little further than just ideation because for a brief moment, I started thinking about how I would do it tonight.
I quickly got out of bed and started working on my headstand. Why? Well, inversions are super beneficial to the body: improved circulation, increased energy, good for the spine, etc. But the main reason:
You can’t think about killing yourself when you’re doing cool yoga shit.
This is legit. Try it. Try to formulate a plan to commit suicide while you’re in a headstand. You can’t fucking do it. It’s not feasible. Headstands take all of your mental and physical energy. You can’t do anything else.
